Before inserting (once per design) #
- Select all pages › Edit as video.
- Set each slide’s duration to at least the number RATA shows (click the page’s ⏱ timer in Canva).
Audio in Canva sits on the design’s shared timeline and does not follow slides on its own. That is why the slide must be long enough before you insert.
Insert #
- Insert (inside an element): inserts that element’s audio at the playhead. Move the playhead to the element’s Appears at time before clicking.
- Insert all (Elements row): inserts the whole slide as one clip.
- Clip names include the slide number, element label and duration so they are easy to spot on the timeline.
Deleted audio in Canva yourself? #
Canva does not let apps read the timeline, so RATA only knows the audio it inserted. After deleting audio in Canva, click Deleted in Canva? in the slide status line so RATA marks it as not inserted.
Audio on the wrong slide #
Open the right slide, move the playhead to the start of the slide (or the Appears at time), then click Insert.
