Add and order elements #
- Click an element on the slide in Canva, then ＋ Add. Shapes and groups: the ⋯ › Pick shapes and groups button.
- Drag the ⋮⋮ handle to change the reading order.
- The 🗑 button at the start of a row removes the element from the list.
Write the script #
Click an element’s row to open it:
- Choose a voice and speed for the element (defaults to the deck’s voice).
[0.4s]is a 0.4-second pause;{phrase}is read slowly. Select text and click Slow to mark it.- Pause ▾ inserts a pause at the cursor, or sets the pause after the element when the cursor is at the end of the script.
- Reading adds the selected word’s pronunciation to the dictionary.
- Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y to undo / redo.
Build, listen and history #
- ✦ Create builds the audio for the whole slide; unchanged parts cost no points.
- Listen plays the open element’s part.
- History keeps the versions you built so you can listen, restore or delete them; hover over the date to see how long it is kept.
